This room is decorated in the style of an Italian, Victorian era bed/sitting room: gilded Florentine chandelier, a fireside velvet love seat, onyx table and ladies writing desk add to the old world charm. Raw silk curtains frame the windows of this " room with a view"...a view that takes in the golf course and lake beyond. A second large curved glass window overlooks the side garden and wisteria arbour. The bathroom chandelier, with its amber glass, sets off the playful cherub border and marble flooring complements the large corner shower. Relaxing in the duvet covered King/Twin bed with its whimsical, upholstered and gilded iron headboard gives a wonderful view of the hand painted sky ceiling complete with doves. This room is romantic and restful.

A very serene and secluded hideaway, our Heaven Suite is watched over by a large hand crafted angel. The exposed brick chimney of Lakewinds' main fireplace is flanked by windows and a window seat offering a bird's eye view of the golf course and the lake. Golds and shades of cream are used in the soft furnishings and upholstery of the fireside love seat and easy chair. Enjoy your CD's on the in-room stereo system, which has speakers in the large exposed beams. The bed can be king or twin, with dreamy duvets and upholstered headboards. The large bathroom has a whirlpool bath and a marble topped antique vanity, which sports elegant gold fixtures. This room is the first choice of many desiring a romantic getaway.

Venetian Suite - King Ensuite

This dramatic suite is in a wing by itself and has views to the front, side and back of the estate. The Venetian Suite takes its name from the glass that has made Venice so famous. The cut crystal Venetian mirror, chandeliers and hand painted mirrored furniture echo this theme. The rich velvets and silks of the soft furnishings and draperies enhance an elegant ambiance. Soft greens and taupe are repeated in the sitting area that includes a writing desk, loveseat and easy chair. A colour television with VCR and extensive cable service as well as a fireplace are features of the sitting area that overlooks the golf course. The extra plush, king bed has a silk canopy and integrated reading lights. The bathroom features a silk draped, two-person whirlpool tub and independent glassed in shower while the separate powder room has a toilet and pedestal sink.
