Further celebrating the remarkable property and highlighting the 12-acre vineyard that makes the Riverbend Inn so unique among Niagara-on-the-Lake vacation destinations, the first vintage of Riverbend Inn Cabernet Sauvignon has been awarded GOLD at the All Canadian Wine Championship. The Niagara vineyard, managed by Reif Estate Winery, features block plantings of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Vidal. Riverbend released their first proprietary wine–the Riverbend 2005 Chardonnay Reserve and the Riverbend 2005 Cabernet Reserve–in 2006 making the GOLD award particularly outstanding for such a young vineyard.
The Riverbend Inn and Vineyard offers elegantly appointed Niagara-on-the-Lake accommodations and exceptional dining from the grandeur of a renovated 1860s Georgian mansion. Guest rooms are decorated thematically, in keeping with the historic nature of the estate, and five rooms have private balconies overlooking the vineyard for the true wine aficionado.

Situated on the Niagara River Parkway in Niagara-on-the-Lake, the Riverbend Inn & Vineyard features an 1860s Georgian mansion that has been fully restored to its former elegance with 21 thematically decorated guest rooms. The Inn rests on 17 acres, 12 of which are occupied by a vineyard with Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Vidal wine grapes. The Niagara-on-the-Lake vineyard is managed by Reif Estate Winery, and overall production is expected to reach about 2,000 cases of wines each year with the wines exclusively available at the Riverbend Inn and on-site at Reif Estate Winery.
